Some people shouldn’t be allowed near welders

Just had this machine come in. What a mess. Looks like they’ve just laid weld on top randomly until it held

Had to grind it all off and re do it. I’m still not 100% happy with it but you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
Think we’ve made it passable though.

I will but I’m not particularly pleased with it. It had been done with stick and there was a lot of slag still buried.

I used to do up old cars and some of the repairs on them I swear must have come through the post.
Squares of tin with a bit of weld spattered around the outside, a few bits of mig wire here and there for good measure and just stuck in place with underseal.

Cut small sections from scaffolding pole

This winter’s project will be making a chassis to carry heavy frame sawbench and 2cyl Diesel engine

Depending where I put axle, I may have to put small amount of concrete at front hidden in chassis

Obviously he didn’t. He realised that no one else would want it looking like that so bought it for next to nothing.

Never seen one cracked before and I’ve sold dozens.
My guess is (like a lot of broken machines) it’s been on the back of a tractor too big going too fast down the road with the machine hanging on for dear life behind it.

IMO very few machines break during natural use
