Yes.
Depends on location, (not before T200) (Daffodilds yellow in the bud).
Seed rate 1 1/2 cwt/acre. (Old fashioned crop so old fashioned ways) driled. Broadcast 2 cwt.

Are you going to traditionaly harvest?

Actually, I'm a trialist and planning to set up a variety trial in spring oats in the East Midlands. Just wanted to do some research on what growers are usually going with regarding rate and sowing time.
Surely a trialist should have that information to hand,east midlands late Feb early M arch planted could /would perform the same as Mid April in the welsh marches but just a different harvesting date I would guess

When it's warm. I've drilled them mid may before and still cut s crop in good time.

Ideally for me first week in April. All fert in seedbed. Decent heap of seed.
And have drilled them in 3rd week March, and heavy snow came, lasted 2 full weeks. Even my father was amazed that it was all through when snow thawed. That was 1968 I think. Seem to remember it grew long and went flat.
