With DAP so expensive and TSP in stock do I drop this next to the seed? I have not used DAP before, just thrown some nitrogen on but have the ability for better placement this year.
Has anyone mixed urea and tsp together? Would it separate too much?
Had the flier from Openfield for nutri fert is it? Agronomist not impressed.
Thanks

Bob lincs has said in the past he could see no real benefit from applying more than 50kg/ha of dap.
Could mix the same amount of urea and tsp together but apply 75kg/ha? Could it be that simple or.................. 🙄

Too much urea with in three inches of the seed will cook it. Even with DAP the salts will cause seed burn.I generally won’t go above 25 units an acre in the seed row with my disc drill. If your drill has a wider spread than my 3/4 inch then do the math on your seed bed utilization. If you can do a side band then that is the way to go.

His prediction of no benefit will depend on your soil index for P. Even if my soil levels are high having P in close proximity to a young plant will improve early vigor. Majority of my phosphate is banded deeper at around 4 inches. Roots go down and putting it on the surface or even all at seeding will have it sat until soil is turned.
