Sorry to hijack but is relevant, anyone had any prices for dear fencing lately?
had someone ask for £19 per meter, why seems way over the top to me.
for context it’s a about 350m need doing and it’s on nice flat land.
in fact if anyone on here wants to come to ormskirk and do some dear fencing let me know

why not just charge by the day, about 3 or 4 years ago I had part of the house renovated and the plasterer charged by the day, I can't remember if he was £200 a day, or £250. I had a hedge laid a couple of years ago, and the fencer who did it charged customers a rate per day for fencing, they supplied the materials.

I don't charge day rate for fencing because I think it can be unfair either on the customer or on yourself, some days are good and some days are bad, hedgeing is a lot simpler, you haven't got anything like the overheads and logistics just plain hard work.
