That pic of a fendt looks to be the same as our lely. I can get my head around why agco are sticking to some fellas designs when I've never seen a fella mower tedder or rake but there are plenty of lely machines about. Why produce the less popular product.

I stand to be corrected, but I think the 6.6m version is a fella derived machine whereas the 7.7m is lely derived. Nothing wrong with the fella machines in my view, been very pleased with my 868, but I’m not doing millions of acres a year with it over rough fields at 25k.

edit - there is a guy in this months classic tractor advertising new 6.6m fendt twisters at £6750 which is very good value.

Ah, yeh need to see the bigger picture. The Lely hooked tine wasn’t as revered in Europe as it is here, Ireland and Holland of course!

Some new MFs and Fendts will be Lely, some will be Fella.
However I heard a rumour this week that Agco can’t supply the Lely tedders they’ve sold this year? Anyone ordered one?

Have heard similar lots of orders being accepted but nothing being delivered.

Looking at one at the moment , been told there is no grease nipple of crown pinion on top of the rotors , is this right ?
That was mentioned on here on a different thread a while recently, I got the impression that it was a one off and when the chap looked closer he found the holes were there for the grease nipples but none had been fitted. Possibly a P.D.I. issue? either way if the holes are provided it's no hardship to screw in some greasers.

Looking at one now , admittedly didn’t look to see if holes were simply painted over but did mention it to the rep and he couldn’t see them either.
