Exactly what I thought aswell!!!!

I’m not a dealer I have various small parts of land in different parts.. I am not a farmer but I have various classic internationals with different implements.. i also enjoy projects that I can do up whilst using them

I’m not going to pretend I’m a farmer when I’m not I’m just looking for a machine that I can get the full story from, instead of one where a dealer has dragged it out of a hedge with no knowledge of its faults and history to pass on and then slapped 3k ontop only to discover its goosed after fixing all the initial faults (which has happened many times to me) also it is personal use so I am not registered so when a trader adds vat on it makes things beyond valve to me when bidding against someone else

I’m not buying off auction either anymore as my merlo that I bought for my other site came with a knackered starter motor and the compensation ram missing and a hole cut in the boom when it was supposed to be running driving and fine

thanks

( I will look see if there is a more suitable badge)

I’ve changed the badge to member of the public as this is more fitting.. I am a steelworks electrician (for the time being until they shut) and I have small parcels of land in various places where I work on my internationals and hoard other stuff.

thanks

Unfortunately there’s not many about without vat on top as obviously most farmers claim the vat back.
Thanks I know I don’t mind paying it but it’s much better when I don’t have to (the machines I have bought over the years are from smaller farms or have probably been written off as scrap so don’t occur any

probably different with teles as much newer

You would be better off spending a bit more and buying something in fair condition, you will recoup your money when you sell and you will have a machine fit for purpose whenever you need it.

By the time you factor in haulage to your yard, parts and the hundreds of hours of labour doing up a scrapper ( broken bolts, gearboxes etc), you will find it was a pointless exercise.

Better to spend a few thousand more on a newer machine opposed to purchasing a money pit, unless you value your time and labour at zero rates?

It’s for personal use so time spent on it does not have a cost, i also love fixing stuff more than driving it I would rather be laid on the concrete fixing it with Oily mud falling in my eyes whilst raining than watching tv

The money I have is borrowed so have to pay interest on it so I would rather have a ropier example that I can improve so less expenditure

and I only need to use it once or twice a month - if it doesn’t start it doesn’t matter to me as nothing relies upon it

Im a sucker for hard work really
