Where are the days when people could just get on and do the job with skill with out technology, are the standards of staff deteriorating that much now days if so it’s worrying that we need technology to do a basic job of grain carting etc. what happens when the technology breaks no one will have the skill to keep going the job will stop?

Hope you enjoy ploughing with your pair of horse.

there is a video on youtube somwhere of matthew r from canada doing exactly this with agopengps. He is a few steps further on, presses the button and tractor and chaser bin arrives itself. he loads the chaser bin and then it self drives to the headland and unloads and waits patiently for further instruction.

I’m sure this would work very well for some people but I do wonder if it is wise to tie oneself to JD software completely. Yes it works but it’s a high on going expense.

Already available from Claas and Krone @spark plug ( maybe the others?) , auto fill , camera on spout scans trailer and auto fills trailer, moving spout and flap . Obviously trailer needs to be alongside and driving at a steady speed etc , works well but not sure of cost and if its viable?

Great stuff but how much would that facility cost , and how on earth could one justify the cost. :scratchhead: :scratchhead: .
The tractor and combine will probably have the GPS and steering hardware already, so the only tech required will be connectivity between the 2 and the required software.

The real cost will be the JD unlock code (no doubt annual) and the ‘Deere’ branded tube of KY Jelly that comes with it.
