Unfortunately Brexit induced aggression is too often a cover for ignorance, meaningless slogans become proclamations of truth, attempts at informed debate are decried as arrogance, facts are "bullpoo". In my experience I have yet to find an agricultural leaver who will intelligently and unemotionally debate the issues facing our farming industry in the context of a No-Deal Brexit. I leave you with James O'Brian's summing up of the current Government strategy, it would make a good comedy script if this was not so serious.

O`Brien tries to explain negotiations in simple terms which bear no relevance to the situation. It is not that simple and you don`t simply walk away and return to the status quo neither do you pull the rug from under your own feet by declaring that you will comply with the opposition wishes before you start. The man is an idiot plain and simple and the following interview with JRM amply demonstrates it. He got more and more frustrated and obnoxious and ended up behaving like a petulant kid.

Curious - as an outsider, when do you think will be the time to start buying up UK plc? I have my pension funds going into a bunch of international places, but am wondering if the exchange rates are killing that and I'd be better keeping it in Sterling denominated companies for now.

What an absolutely vile individual that cock is.
It won't be long before he's inciting anarchy, violence and goodness knows what else.
Indeed. Some of his rants about many other individuals are well out of order already.
I guess the root of his sick mind is that he's really pee'd off that the monks at his school never dropped any sweeties for him to bend over and pick up.

What an interesting informative post in a thread which was started by Holywell farmer with the proposal : "lets try be nice to each other on the forum". For the uninformed "Caveman's" difficulty with James O'Brian other than possibly "inciting anarchy, violence" and being an "absolutely vile individual and a cock" is that he is a Catholic educated at Ampleforth College. As Catholics we are told to turn the other cheek which on this occasion I admit I only reluctantly obey. Dominus Vobiscum Caveman.

However, for those with a serious interest in the challenges facing us I attach another James O'Brian's piece this time an interview with Chris Southworth from the International Chamber of Commerce. Chris is an expert on WTO rules and it is well worth a listen. The interview starts at 10.20.

There you go.
Reading something that isn't there.
Where did I write that I have difficulty with the guy being a Catholic?
His religion is no problem to me what so ever.
My opinion of the sulky, whineing, turd and his rhetoric is just that. My opinion of him and his style.

Be nice to each other.
I'm trying. (No reluctance).

A good clear resume of where the UK will stand in a WTO no deal scenario. Unfortunately he is an expert and it's facts based.

We're trying! But the remoaners keep throwing Teddy back into the pram... :banghead:

There you go.
Reading something that isn't there...

They do it to me too; the really, really thick ones start it with something like 'So, you're saying... '

Yes I realised after that regarding the post I quoted I was back to front.
Sorry, I was guilty of looking from my point of view:nailbiting:

Do you know 'Soap bar' by Goldie Lookin Chain?

The reason things are getting so heated is because remainers refuse to accept democracy!

If the lastest plot by them to seize power from a democratically elected government and replace it with a government of unelected remainers happens then things will get a lot more heated and not just on forums but on the streets, remainers are going too far now!

Also the way remainers are now trying to grab power by changing the law/ pushing out a democratically elected government etc is very similar to how Hitler gained power in Germany in the 1930's and we all know how that ended up!

Not just about democracy now but abut freedoms because if remainers get their way and install someone like Ken Clarke as PM then leavers will soon be shut down that you can have no doubt about!
With this no deal if it runs smooth all the worrying be in vain
