Trailed Kongskilde Vibraflex / Poorman's Topdown

We have run a 4m folding trailed Kongskilde Vibraflex with a row of discs, 16 vibraflex tines, another row of discs and then a DD roller and then tow an Aqueel behind. Its 12 yrs old and starting to show its age what is there about as an alternative truly 4m wide that you can pull with 200Hp all day everyday and can afford! Been thrilled with the vibraflex and would order another tomorrow but they don't appear to have developed them at all from what I can see, they're coming to see me at some point. I've tried all the usual suspects and a few further a field and there doesn't appear to be an alternative.

The sticking points appear to be
- the front discs which we need for cutting up the vining pea haulm otherwise the tines just ball it up
- lots of sprung tines to move all the ground with narrowish points running shallow without the smearing that you get with an A share
- true 4m working width and trailed.

Nearest alternative I've found is a 6m folding KV Turbo but they don't make a 4m.

Anybody know of anything?? Manufuacturers, importers are more than welcome to message me if they have something but don't want to post.

Cheers

Alistair

Can you not refurb it.be cheaper than new and you will get what you want
nick...

That’s about what I’ve come round to thinking unless they can show me some development in the new ones as it’s a real nut and bolt machine so easy to fix. But concerned I’m missing an alternative somewhere

Kverneland CTC? They may do the option of the enduro tine if you speak to them which is a bit less heavy duty?

I’ll ask our rep! The enduro is the new version of the CLC , mounted version of the CTC, but they have made some different legs for it...just out of interest, why only trailed?

Due to towing the aqueel behind and also wanting front discs, lots of tines, discs, press really means trailed only. Thank you if you could ask Kverneland that would be great thank you, where in the world are you? We’re up in east York’s?

Thank you for your efforts that would be great sadly just slightly out of range but if I buy one I will make sure I tell Kverneland how they owe you one. Thank you

I’m looking for the same sort of cultivator Alistair, we like the vibroflex but ours has no packer. I noticed Keith Challen ? (Belvoir) was talking about a Farmet Fantom and how good it was

Buy a new vibroflex or refurb the one you’ve got.

We run a 4m and a 6m on all sorts of land including flint. One of the reasons that I like them is that they aren’t full of pins and bushes to wear out and cause lots of sideways play in the legs. Anything that breaks gets unbolted and replaced in seconds. If we wear a bolt hole out, easy to make a new plate and weld it in, likewise the frame is just box section so we could repair almost anything in house.
