Morning all, does anyone have any suggestions of legs or conversion in order to turn this twb subsoiler into a low disturbance machine. Wanting to use it about 8 inches. Many thanks.

Terry does a couple of ld bottoms , we have a narrow long wing with a simba ld point off st bar on it , the other newer one he does has various different bolt ons so you can change the worn bits .

Tillso. He’s been doing low disturbance legs even since before low disturbance was a buzz word so a lot of experience/design modification have gone into his legs.

got a variety of legs for a twb , got some spare if you want an experiment ,
got 12 mm ,shakerator ,standard legs ,and standard legs with 12 mm point for hard going , pm your number if you want the craic
will look what legs spare and have some with tim howard bottoms ,where we cut wings off and just used point to do some tramlines

I’ve had them pop out and break the little roll pin that holds the top of the foot in , and snap top lug that the shear tab goes over off.
It’s bloody hard but surprised they went?
I’ve used the v form and it’s not disturbing that much , I think this year if you’ve got clay not many will be low disturbance ?

Think you are correct.on clay here and don’t think anything would go in the ground anyway and if it did there would just be massive lumps breaking out.this will be a year of starting at the top and working down.if it rains

This is a fair point, I would just like something ready for if it softens up abit. I have a new block which is in need of it.

is this low disturbance enough at 14 inch deep 4 inch wing
that depth cause it was late drilled after beet

Did have the 10 inch wide feet on but have put the 4.5 inch wide ones on this year, seems to be doing a good job lifting the profile without much disturbance, having the roll pins snapping is annoying, not had it do it before this year. The shins are a lot deeper though on the LD foot which I think must be causing more sideways stress and causing the roll pins to snap

The apm foot like those with more tungsten ,are good but pricey , and atouch with welder on shin will help with roll pin problem just have to put slitting disc through when change them ,and some ferobide on backs of wings helps as does 3 tiles on back of legs ,
