Introduction

The pioneering silage sheeting range really measures up in creating the ideal ensiling environment. Known for its high strength, puncture resistance and excellent seal characteristics, the Visqueen silage sheeting range is the best in demanding more from your silage.

Clingseal vacuum sheeting is a thin, flexible, low permeability sheet that reduces top and shoulder spoilage. This new sheeting sits beneath the traditional black sheeting and clings to the clamp surface, preventing pockets of trapped air forming to significantly aerobic spoilage on the top and shoulders. It also creates the right conditions to deliver enhanced silage quality.

Sheeting with 5 layer technology

Good clamp management can make a real difference to dairy and beef yields so it is essential to maximise silage production through best practice and high quality film products like those found within the Visqueen range. As with baled silage the expulsion and exclusion of as much air as possible is crucial to the quality of the ensiled crop. For over three decades many farmers have trusted the robust, durable Visqueen sheeting range to achieve this, thanks to its ability to create good ensiling conditions in the clamp.

Clingseal is thinner and therefore more flexible, allowing it to cling more closely to the contours of the clamp surface and tuck-in more at the sides. This helps eliminate air pockets and provides a close fitting barrier to significantly reduce top and shoulder losses from aerobic spoilage.

Additionally, because it provides a better air seal, Clingseal also facilitates a faster, more efficient fermentation process delivering enhanced clamp silage quality. Clingseal is also easy to apply, and is suitable for a variety of ensiled crops, including grass, maize, wholecrop and other moist feeds.
