Hi Jerry. I've not been on here in ages, good to see you doing well. Your system is ideal- but Devon bit far for us I'm afraid. Ideally looking midlands or Lincolnshire.

Think Marcus as moved away from Lleyns and not selling rams this year.Try Marcus Bullock ...Bank Farm Lleyns , Worcestershire
Seen the lightThink Marcus as moved away from Lleyns and not selling rams this year.
Very similar to my system, other than full recording here. If my experience is any guide, repeat sales will be a big help to you over the yearsThanks. Yes I still have some left.
( 3 went today all the way to Sussex and he was very happy)
commercial flock of Lleyn ewes, all of forage no hard feed. Pretty much closed flock other than rams and a hand full of carefully selected ped ewes each year.
Rams high index/ped from trusted sources
lambed outside from mid feb.
Not formally recorded but to reach the point of sale they have to be:
Lambed unassisted
All multiple births
Not had feet touched other than strip as a new lamb
Not had fly strike
Show good growth characteristics ( from this year I’ll prob start recording but not there yet)
Obviously correct in teeth and balls.
Only wormed as required by FEC counts. Current shearling rams had a cocci drench, one white and one clear drench, but last year worm pressure was very low due to drought. Don’t drench mature sheep.
Rams are in Hep P system, had a Mayo 4 in 1 bolus 8 weeks ago and clik,d a month ago.
