Hi all,

Cody from Farm Xport here (www.farmxport.com). We are an international distributor for Soil-Max plows but would like to expand our catalog. Is there any farm equipment or machinery, worldwide, that is difficult to purchase in the UK due to lack of import or distributors? I imagine most farm equipment required is easily purchased within the UK or is easily imported from Europe but I thought I would ask. Thanks!

Cant think of anythin of hand which indicates theres probably not much thats not available here. But of ur lookin into bringin stuf in u need to take time and do ur homework and figure out what brands thats currently not here thats a good enough machine but is a fair bit cheaper than the equivelent rivals already sold here and look at bringin them in. But to entice ppl to buy them there gonna have to be cheaper. Am sure theres loads of examples of this if it was researched

Hi Cody, I'm an englishman farming in France. Looking 'in' or back at the UK farming the 1 thing that seems to be missing is a rear discharge muck spreader ( a box spreader?). Big ones yes but no small ones 4/6 tons.
May just be me but that's my take on it.

Voila!

Why not show us pics etc of what you could distribute then if Anyone spots something of interest it may help.

Being a new farm equipment export company, we only carry Soil-Max tile plows at the moment which is why we're wanting to expand our offerings. So, unfortunately, I don't have anything to show you right now other than what's on our website, which are Soil-Max plows (www.farmxport.com).

I wanted to see if there was a brand or piece of equipment that was commonly hard to get so we could consider helping farmers find and import that piece of equipment. We definitely have some more research to do but I thought this was a good place to start.

Agree with @Clive .sell at a sensible price and I’m sure you would sell them.I fail to understand the price asked for a lot of these drills which are mostly cultivators with a hopper on the top

Either an American rotary ditcher that runs directly behind the tractor, or some kind of Dutch ditch cleaner that reaches out on an arm?
Yes the 1 i saw run behind the tractor. 1 that runs ofset from the tractor would be more suited to here as most of the ditches round here are too wide for a tractor to drive with a wheel on each side but the concept is a good idea. Have u ever used 1?
