Would these sell in the UK?

Or do they know we are daft enough to want the hi spec hilux for £40k?

How much are these UTV’s these days?
Would be a very cheap option for a farm vehicle. But UTVs are around 1000kg max weight. The IMV 0 looks to be 2700kg which would rule it out as a suitable utv replacement on all but the driest farms imo.
I'm looking for alternatives to our kubota rtv but the kubota is plenty heavy enough at around a ton.

I would have one as the main pickup, no thrills just a pure workhorse

These will not meet any first world emissions or safety regulations.

I somehow doubt it'll be 8.5k by the time it gets here🙄
Though 12k would still look cheap compared to either existing pick ups, or utvs.
Bet there won't be much change from 15k though by the time you get 1 on farm.

well the article doesn't say it won't,,,,,it does say

'japan is the home of many small cheap trucks'

whilst it is likely that exporting to se asia is perhaps main aim the intimation is that it'll be sold in japan also
No. They go on about some class of tiny trucks but this is not one of them. This article is not clear about it but I read another, more detailed article last week that caregorically stated that this was only to be sold in poor third world countries and ones with very lax safety and emission standards. It is not even designed for airbags or abs brakes. It will not be sold in Japan according to the article I read.

If it had ABS, Airbags, radio and some sound deadening it would sell like hotcakes. Even to the city dwellers.

That's probably a step too far on missing comforts (and safety!).

There in lies the problem: if it becomes a fad with the bearded Gen Z ‘top knot’ w⚓️'s then the resale market will hoover up the waiting list for 10 years and treble the price to £30k
