LC is long carriage, but I didn’t think there was any difference in the counter weight.
obviously with the longer carriage it won’t stick out over the back as far, but will still have the same tail swing out the side. Could be wrong though.Have been before

Usually the cr bit means close rotation, or zero tail swing.

JCB Js 130 avoid anything after 2012 . A few had cooling isue around that time as well . You will see a little water tank behing the back window if they had the mod k The newer they are the more problematic they are

Without question that is the one to buy . But that are a bit more expensive than the rest
The later Hitachi the same problems start to kick in

machine snobbery puts many off JCB, but they are decent enough machines from my experience. That model 130 is identical to my brothers, 2012 build, its strong enough with a very good reach.

They all have their issues, ran plenty of different makes in the quarries over the years. But in 13t class its hard to overlook the JS as a second hand purchase. They are good value second hand, plenty to choose from, parts are reasonably priced and easily obtainable, plenty of older models in breakers yards as well to keep them going when they get a bit older.

As a second hand farm digger, the JS ticks all the boxes imo

just looked and you are of course correct @Fendtbro. Our Old pc120 lists lc in the manual and it is long carriage, compared to normal.
just checked the doosan and the lcr had a 3400kg counterweight where the lc has a 2200kg counterweight.
so should probably drive similar. (lever effect should be the same)

I was about to buy a 2015 JS130 for about the same money , I just happened to phone a JCB Fitter on the way home , first thing he said have you paid him , I said no he said thank god for that . Nothing but a pack of trouble.
Ive Never heard a bad word for an Hitachi
But I'm well pleased with my older JS

I have a 2003 Fiat-Hitachi EX135 here, one of the last of them, bought her with 4580 hours and has just turned 9000 hours last week. If you could get one with lowish hours it would be a good buy, I don't think they were popular for exporting during the last recession so there is probably more of them about than the equivalent Hitachi EX120-5. Anyone that had one preferred them over the Hitachi and anyone that didn't have one will say they are bad but can't tell you what is bad about them.
I wouldn't buy a zero swing because there isn't much room to work on a normal one if you have a burst pipe or doing any work on them.
If you are going to be in boggy ground the blade would be a bad idea as it would act like an anchor.
I was told to make sure she has twin pumps because if you get stuck, one for the tracks and the other for the dipper, with the single pump either the tracks or the dipper will get priority. The Hitachi EX Dash 2 had a single pump and they changed it back to two pumps again after that.
