I went to flat face on my telehandler over the usual agri type, wish I'd done it years ago. Easier to use, easier to keep clean.
As well as the above advantages using google users will see that they have a better flow rateI went to flat face on my telehandler over the usual agri type, wish I'd done it years ago. Easier to use, easier to keep clean.
Ditto.Flat face male and female on jcb. Swap attachments dozens of times a day.
No issue with pressure and quick wipe to clean off.
If dealer has a box of spares I’d happily give them a home.
I find it’s cheaper if u just put the more bulkier expensive female ends on the handler and with the use off a cable tie mark the appropriate connectors or a small amount of spray paint for markingFlat every time, cleaner, better flow, and leak less. Put a male on along with female so you cant mix up hoses > grab or whatever always works the same way
They will start to brinell on the ball ring on the male ones eventually though, and if you screw up taking the attachment off the end of the male can break off inside the female
flat face have no holes.......Better with two male on machine. Females always full of detritus.
Had that on first handler, wouldnt go back to two of the same. Depends on mount direction, they were vertical up which was pretty good at collecting dustBetter with two male on machine. Females always full of detritus.
Old habits die hardAgreed, but people are throwing them away for conventional aparrently, despite their being better.
No holes as such. But far more places for dirt & crap to get in, including the locking ring. If the dealer is offering to chuck them in I’d go two males on machine, females on implements. Cable tie, tail tape etc to mark one pipe so don't connect them the wrong way around. Female will last the life of the implement if its not in constant use.flat face have no holes.......
The high flow ones are substantially stronger than the standard, accidents do happenFound flat face fittings to be a breath of fresh air here. Male and female on machine and the grab always does what you intended.
get holmsbury fitting if you can as they seen better than most. No need for the high flow version.
Buying a new jcb, went to see it today and they all come on flat face but dealer changes them on pdi most of them time for the usual agri ones (whatever they are called)
Would you keep flat Face or not? Dealer has stacks and stacks of spare flat face fittings from doing pdi's so will give me enough to swap attachments.
Look better for not collecting dirt however I always run with male/male on jcb for this reason and female/female on attachments
I’ve changed two sets of females this winter, just refuse to take the male!flat face have no holes.......
Proper job!I’ve these on my loaders.View attachment 1171242You can plug a standard flat face into them for an attachment that doesn’t get used much.
Much higher flow, but I’m changing to male on the machine and female on implements to save connection hassles. When new the females are fine , but obviously fill up over time to prevent connection.Flat face miles better than standard dont know how anyone could thing otherwise tbh.
