Are many folk keeping wool hoping for a price rise? Ive mine done and texacloth will take it, sort and pack it etc. Although they wont pay for it just now but hope to pay same as last year (65p iirc) before the winter....

I'm gonna keep it for now but i doubt my 8 sheets of oddments will collapse the world wool market, although it'll be 16 sheets next so you never know!

We will undoubtedly store it if there’s no money coming back in for the foreseeable future, I can see a lot more around here doing the same to, I can’t help but think it’ll just flood the market again in 2021 though.

Very concerning times for the entire sheep sector at the moment, you’ve just got to hope the lamb market holds as supply picks up going into summer. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, just have a think about that before you pee it away.

The Wool Board are talking they fear wool will be down by upto 50%... This lot are talking the job down considerably!

These pricks would need to sharpen their pencil, because if I halve my last year's wool cheque... Its substantially more than their 20p. And what's the bet youl have very few kgs of 'better' grades...

Robbing c-nts.

50p last year, i have to say I don’t particularly roll the fleeces as I’m on my own I kind of fold them and chuck em in and they never complain. There std grade is texel cross they deal with a lot of people around me with similar flock types.

i plan on keeping it, was bad enough last year

What did you get of bwmb last year per kilo?

The way BWMB works, it's the year previous...

So the cheque last year (for 2018 wool) averaged out at £1.21/kg.

Lleyn and TexX ewes averaging around 2kg wool per ewe

that sounds good for 2018, im sure mine was around 85 ppkg,

i will have to repack it all into bwmb bags and take it there in 2021!! :ROFLMAO:

tex corss and mules.

Just paint it on :ROFLMAO:

I would keep back maybe 1/3 of the sheets this year but sadly I've just nowhere to store it.

I mind 2003 wool cheque didn't pay for the shearers 2004 (when we still had Mules and Blackies). That's when I started doing it myself. If my wool is worth half this time, it would still pay for a shearer
