Agbags?

Does anyone use Agbags for grass silage? If so please let me know what you think - any problems/advice. Thanks
We do maize into Ag bags, works well, tried grass a couple of times, tend to get a bumpy bag, with air pockets in it, once opened we got mouldy patches which are a nightmare to work around.
Short answer Don't do grass in them, good for maize/wholecrop

Put grain in one as I was too lazy to clean a shed out one harvest. Badgers and crows has a field day.

Farm in our group has a lot of maize/wcw in bags on a railway sleep pad. Low strands of tensile electric wire all around to keep the badgers out and heavy covers on top to keep crows off.

Kids with a penknife can also be a issue.

Local AD plant have done heaps this year , maize and rye after doing a few last year to try .They have around 80 scattered around the country which unless covered in a green net stand out terribly ( white bags) . Think it was £4 / tonne and they have around 35000 tonnes in bags !! ( yes 35000)
Biggest problem is getting it back out the bag into trailers to haul back . Seems they now are trying a 13 t slew with a cam bucket and a mini slew with blade to tidy up . As you can imagine not great and heaps of waste plastic to dispose of .
They also had problems at harvest with breakdowns of bagger , which then stops whole operation but also the time to set up and down and move sites .
Not sure if the experience will be repeated but on the scale they are on , no easy answer as you can t just find clamp storage for that amount ( they already have 3 huge pits at base but have ground upto 15 miles from base)

When you weigh up maize silage waste from trying to overfill pits, they are definitely worthwhile. Electric poultry net can be good for the badgers. Works well if the bag is alongside an existing pit as you can use the wall to anchor the fence.
