Sorry, I know this is an old post but how do you get on with the bull? Calving ease? growth rates? KO weight?

Calve very easily, come out looking like jerseys. As for growth and KO , only well as stores at 12-18 months, grow as well as our Lims, would Kill out better though as lighter boned.

He looks nice, how's he bred?

I'm no pedigree expert, so feel free to pass comment on his breading. The guy had four in. Liked the third in the ring best, last loser, it made 2800 gunnies. Wished if tried to buy the first, very similar bull. Anyway, this guy was last in, I'd dismissed him as he turns a back leg when he walks. Was passed in the ring, no one in. So I bought post sale (after being egged on by an auctioneer) for a very reasonable amount. Very pleased with him when I got him home, a lot bigger than I thought. Just shows how deceptive size is by the surroundings. Lots of big pure cows next to him made them look not so big.

Yeah I'd say pedigree wise he looks pretty good, his sire and grandsire are both known for easy calving and milky. The only slight drawback is his daughters may be a touch narrow as a result but on the right cows they should be good
