Are AirPods worth the money?

Hello all. Looking into getting AirPods so I can listen to music while milking but are they worth the money. I didn’t actually realise they were so expensive. 🙈. Anyone using them and how do you rate them? Thank you.

I wouldn’t want to be without my AirPods now, but purely because I spend most of the day on the phone. I have a spare set ready to go should I loose them, hasn’t happened yet but I have had the odd one fall out. Noise cancelling is brilliant, phone calls are clear, music in between calls. There’s undoubtably alternatives, but I haven’t had any reason to try them.

I got a pair of cheap ones, but didn’t use them that much. When I replaced my phone the air pods had a bundle offer so got them, use them every day around the cows, and they are lasting well.

I used AirPods Pro during milking to listen to talkback radio or podcasts, they're excellent and money well spent.

But if you're just listening to music, there's no need for AirPods, you can just play it through the shed radio.

They'll fall out with a tail swish.
No they won't.

Just got my second pair for Christmas as the others were worn out and had been round the washing machine, which surprisingly didn't kill them.
I only have the basic ones but they're great.
If I'm doing something noisy like mowing the lawn, I just chuck earmuffs on over them, so you don't need them too loud.
Might get the fancy ones if these ever die.

Same thought here @Holsteinfriesian90

Here's an article with all the different types, so much choice now:

Didn't want to invest in "Shockz" in case I don't like them, so went for these "open ear" efforts.

Arrived today so not milked with them yet.

Had a pair of shokz for over a year. The bone conducting ones with a hoop around the back.
Absolutely fantastic and can still hear other noises.
We complain about walkers and cyclist with airpods in and unable to hear road traffic etc then we wear the same for working?
