I’ve never had any choccies of RAPPA either.

Out of interest, are you folks getting the extras ordering direct, or through Livestock Management Systems?
Is Marcus helping himself to our Yorkies? Has anyone seen him recently, to see if his waist has expanded? :scratchhead::whistle:
Must be Marcus and his staff scoffing mine I reckon as I order through him, Hi for when you read this chap 👍🏻

Obviously they know where all the money is!

I'm paying less than that for footed arrowposts, but I do buy in bulk. The big advantage with these, I think, is that you can replace any parts that might break.... and they don't get 'the dreaded bend' as plastic posts can

I have a real thing about banana posts

I also notice that the steel spike is what eventually gives up the ghost on the plastic fantastics

eta

Kiwitech froze their pricing for years, and have just updated how they do discounts etc as well as adjusted the pricing on some things to allow for the increase in raw material costs

Just bought 200 new economy posts this week but they aren’t the same as the 1s I had before, look weaker and not as much in them, after a bit of research it looks like the 1s I already have are the next range up so I’m going to make a call on Monday and see if I can get them as they’ve always done me well. Only ever break them when there is a frost
Are those the green ones? They don't last 5 mins before they break in two.

That's with cattle, not sheep, but I have blue ones doing the same job that are so old they've gone white.

Got a big order of rappa gear incl a rtv winder last week. Opened the box at the end of a long day and found the yorkie looking up at me. Was like curry to a puss head

We started using Rappa yellow posts this year after looking at older threads on here. They are much better than the cheap economy posts we had bought previously which always snapped. To date none of the Rappa posts have snapped with cattle and sheep.
We buy direct and get the yorkie.

Yorkies with ACT/wessex med orders too 👌😋😋
This looks like it could escalate into 'The Yorkiegate Scandal of 2021'
@DieselRob , @Al R and @neilo are probably contacting their MP's as we speak.

What are the NFU doing about it :scratchhead:
Is it an attempt to reduce CO2 by lowering the weight of some deliveries :scratchhead:
Have Rappa just run out of Yorkies :scratchhead:

So many question, so few answers

We need a freebies thread to keep track of this scandal...... maybe a rankings table of companies buying the most favour with the most goodies 🤓

I’ve still got about 100 ‘green’ Rutland posts here, which must be getting on as I haven’t bought any of them for at least 10 years. I will only buy the RAPPA ‘yellow’ posts now, which are stronger and easier to gather from a quad seat with just a twist. Well worth the extra imo.

I only ever use the Rutland posts now on headland fences that are going to stay in place most of the winter, and wouldn’t use them at all if I had a choice.

Would it become like the fertiliser price tracker, where posters might get irate phone calls from suppliers for disclosing the best deals?

I’m not sure I’d want to disclose any sources of free drenching guns, for fear of upsetting the cartel. :nailbiting:

I am considering a change to Caisley ear tags after replacing another mass of lost Shearwell tags.😡 They might be dearer, but you do get a packet of Haribo with every order…
