Best powerharrow

Looking at changing 22 year old 3m maschio DM, lives in front of a Amazone D8 with a piggy back linkage which is absolutely fine for what I do drilling wise and not currently looking at changing the drill.

Sounds like price is similar on all the major brands, what is there to look out powerharrow wise now?

A lot of lemkens around here but all have a combi drill on them, presuming people bought them for the drill and not the powerharrow.

I have had loads of different makes, but not an Amazone. I have had:
Kuhn
Dowdeswell
Kvernland
Lely
Sicma King
Mashio
SKH

The best by far I have ever had is the Kuhn. Bombproof and the easiest ever to renew the tines/blades on.

My two penny worth, Lemkens have more rotors per metre than Kuhn so are stone draggers in comparison. I used one last year, never again.

aye me too but kuhn are still ok
only buy PH from new whatever brand.
Latest Maschio is a leap up from the one we got back in 2000
them stone deflectors make a heck of a difference & so does a cam cut out clutch

Kuhn very good but 6m Frandent has stuck a 340hp from new and still going fine and 2/3rds the price of others.

We have a Pottinger and a Sulky (part of a combi). Tines are very dear for both compared to Kuhn. Pottinger has the clod board attached to the packer which is much better.

I don't really think there's much between any of the brands these days.

Amazone KG series or a HR Kuhn , both bomb proof . Have used both and in heavy ground the sprung tine fitted in the Amazone would leave a better finish. Both work well in stone !

Everyone whos saying kuhn..... i can never understand why folk rave on about them when andy guest refurbs them at a young ish age....yet loads of other makes are still going fine at 10/15/20 plus years old?????

Go to York sale and you will see all makes with oil leaking down the rotor.they all look well built compared to anything built in the 90s.id be looking at running costs. Check out the price of tines on them all before buying
