Had RRS really like it but too many issues. Bought X3M with 3 litre 3.5M diesel 9 years ago and have not found a better car to change it for. Goes like sh*t off a shovel and 36mph too !
Have tried several others but apart from towing nothing to beat it
+1, my wife has 2016 model and it is fantastic to drive and as you say seriously fast for an SUV. Decent MPG if you drive it modestly but nice to know the power is there if needed. Coming up on 100,000 miles now. Its had a few niggly issues in the last 40k relating to suspension and steering. Expensive enough to repair all things considered but I think it would be hard enough to find as good a replacement so we'll stick with it for the meantime.

I've got a Macan with the 3.0 v6 TDI engine. 260bhp standard but had mine remapped to 300bhp. I found the Porsche to have the most sporting drive of all the SUV's. It's a really comfy drive, resonably economical and has enough poke to see off most cars when having a play.

My sister has an SQ5 and loves it, reliable and goes very well. Suspecting the chassis is the same as the Porsche and guess engine to?? She has the V6 TDI engine
They share the same platform but that's where the similarities end.

They both run the 3.0tdi but the sq5 has the twin turbo version which puts out more power. The Audi is also mated to a torque converter whereas the Porsche uses its PDK duel clutch box. Suspension uses similar components but setup is different.

If u value driving interaction, Porsche is the way to go.
X3M has the chassis sophistication of a block of wood on wheels, it was obviously fine tuned on smooth German roads.

l don’t see the point of these SUV’s, they’re like a fat man on a bike, too much energy lost moving excess weight around.
