Don't bother with diet feeder just take it steady with dung grab or buckrake. I grab out face and make a slope before putting in 1st cut. Stops clamp slipping/falling at join in winter.
I've reclamped silage several times now, made field heaps. works well, slow and steady on the clamp and roll it in well. sheet it well, its the same as making silage, don't cut corners. First load I made I was unsure about but when opened it had less rot than the concrete pit i had bought it from!
