Cleaning/decontaminating sprayer

I have had differing advice about what product to use for cleaning/clearing sprayer of residue. For example All-Clear, Activator 90. When switching from glyphosate or other herbicides to emerged crop, potatoes etc. Seed potatoes are a big concern.

What's the verdict? Thanks.

Horsch sprayer just run the clean program once. If I have the time I’ll do it twice or once plus run some clean water through the main tank. But it’s not caused a problem yet

Glyphosate traces in a sprayer for seed potatoes has been a massive and very expensive issue as you won't realise there has been contamination until the seed spuds don't multiply later on. Seed growers frequently will not use glyphosate in the same sprayer for this reason.

Sulphonyl urea herbicides do stick to the internal surfaces of sprayers, hence needing All Clear Extra before spraying sensitive crops afterwards. Beet and brassicas are particularly susceptible. Use pendimethalin and you'll find residues in the nozzle bodies months later.

Be very careful! I wouldn't rely on a rinse programme to be sufficient, though these will suffice in most cases.
