Tying off is easy, its actually easier on clipex than wood strainers.
The wire is diamond brand supplied by mc veigh with the clipex and yes its shite, would much rather use Tornado. It didn't save me any money, i was getting paid to instal, but it did save the customer a couple of hundred pound on the job between eco posts and cheap net. Since hes only a tenant, he wanted a cheap fence that would last a reasonable time.
I like a challenge but i recon i could tie xfence like this, the harder the wire the easier to get good knots, just need to know what your doing.

I can't believe they don't have end caps on those strainers now :scratchhead:. Surely they are more likely to damage when you knock the post in?
They'll fill with water, freeze, burst, and bang goes the fence.

Maybe McVeigh Parker are wanting to sell 30 year guarantee pressure creosote treated strainers instead of metal strainers? Wooden ends are about half the cost of clipex though, so likely to be less profit for them.

Really!! You think it's going to burst the steel rather than expand out the top?
