Couple sheep dying suddenly

I have some sheep house for lambing later in month , been in 3 weeks now as was wet ground . Been doing grand getting sheep rolls good new grass haylage & access to high energy licks . This morning at feeding 2 holding back , one lying down not flat out other standing hanging both ears . Couldn’t work out if listeria or twin lamb, phoned vet described symptoms etc she decided twin lamb so sat out meds for me . Jagged them& administered glycol. By 3pm one was going about more life like other one flat out not looking great . By 5pm stone dead ! Just think it seems a quick death , have seen both listeria or twin lamb go on for days on end . I know it’s just sheep but little concerned. Sheep were carrying twins, regular ages & good condition not over far not too thin

I managed to give some housed ewes acidosis with fodder beet once

add ...dose of bicarbonate of soda to treatment mix?

I had some just like op post after losing first one spoke to vet and she suggested 50- 60 ml red top under the skin , drench with propylene glycol and 2ml of loxicom , had half a dozen down since and they have all recovered

Listeria can kill them fast.

Double strength Calcium but does not have any of the glucose which was in blue top.

Red top is not a replacement for blue top - which is why I asked my question

One more went down , died , vet has post mortemed & its pasturella pneumonia

Yeah there is, I will get the name of it tomorrow, saved a lot of ewes that where doing down last year (silage got wet just on the point of lambing and went down)
