A change in his tone straightaway . Today (March 31st ) His wife’s side of the family have lost her Auntie and Uncle also their cousin to c19 . We all carry on as if nothing is happening in the Farming world As we are all bobbing around doing all the things we normally do without any bother but it’s come home today.

Had the first case in our village last Friday reported on facebook from hospital bed in Bolton. Normally question why the need for posting stuff on facebook but it was a moving plea to follow the lock down and a graphic description of the symptons and the way health has declined. Serious update on Sunday saying if the Oxygen cannot be stabilised then will be transferred to ICU. No further report since then.

It's very said to think that it's probably going to affect all of us in a way by knowing someone or losing a family member, when you see ice rinks and freezer trucks and large purpose built hospitals being built it show what is on it's way.

People who are flaunting the rules should take head of what they may cause, We need to slow the spread.

Keep your chin up and stay safe

Tough times, my wife & I are locked down in our house for a minimum of 12 weeks, classed as vunerable as I've had a kidney transplant & my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.
I also know someone who has died from C19, I used to go the farm he worked on many many times over the years & he was on my FB friends list.
It's out there & it's very real.
Stay safe.

It's all fun and games till you directly experience it's effects. My partner was bed ridden for 9 days, it was not fun. Took 2.5 weeks to truly get over, I had very mild symptoms but haven't tasted or smelt anything for over 2 weeks.

If you are alone or a single parent and were bed ridden for over a week it would cause serious problems. While we may think we're all invincible, that wind can soon be blown from our sails.

On the flip side, I know of two who both have had it (not tested but highly suspect) and are coming out the other side....

OP still has a very valid point though
Some figures from tv news yesterday, about 152,000 people have been tested, of those about 29,000 tested positive.
I suspect there will be some out there who are convinced they’ve had it when they haven’t.

They also said that over 1 Million have now been infected ,some will have shown no symtoms, that was from the Government

A friend's grandfather passed away yesterday, confirmed case and yet know of one family who suspects they've have had it and are coming out the other side (not confirmed), also a mid 30's fit as a fiddle sheep farmer has had it bad, very ill by all accounts, hopefully get an update today on him.

It is frightening reading these posts. It is incredible how many people still aren't social distancing. I saw an interesting piece the other day about how infectious it is.

On average you infect 1.3-1.4 people if you have the flu. You infect 3 people if you have Covid-19. If everyone you infect infects that many people and you go for 10 rounds - from your initial transmission, the number of people infected with flu is 14 and the number of people infected with Covid-19 is 59,000!! Do it on the calculator, it works!

To me that was the single most significant stat that highlighted why we should social distance.
