Don't envy you feeding maize this time of year. They are taking the grain out of the face in the clamp as well, take no notice of the gas gun unlike the people in the village, cant beat an early start and late finish
Genuine q - does that really work?Hanging two or three up usually deters their mates from the field
Always find when a silage field next to a cereal is cut and cleared it gives them a clear landing pad then they hop through the fences and start on it.Had an old farm worker telling me Crows don't do any crop damage - I was surprised to say the least.
I said, just wait until the Wheat goes milky - they attack the edges, tramlines and anything that goes down.
Currently eating his words mightily.
Works just as well as shooting them, as you normally only get a few shots then they’re off, unless you have time to sit all dayGenuine q - does that really work?

Definitely but they must see you do it.Genuine q - does that really work?
Used one 20 years ago but soon got stolen, gave up winter barely because of the damage they did started growing it again about three years ago but this year they seem to have found their taste for it again.I found the hawk kites work best. You have to take it down if it's too windy though, which is a pain.
Don't put one up where there's easy access from a road either, or it'll get stolen. Ba$tards
Yes, but best not to do it near a footpath or main road as some folk get offended very very easily these days!Genuine q - does that really work?
