Dairy farming wellies

I've a piece of old carpet from the living room, where a window installer had a bit of a whoopsie with a can of expanding foam.
As soon as I get a new pair of wellies I pull out the insoles, place them on the old carpet and cut around them then insert the carpet into the wellies. For the first month or so it's like walking across your living room, they last a lot longer than standard insoles, and once their done just cut another pair out of the carpet, all for zero cost 👌
I saw a lad ask online about parlour mats to ease the pressure on his father while milking and was told to buy just one and cut the wellie footprint out and glue them on his fathers wellies.

Job done for the price of one parlour mat

Aigle Parcours 2 here as well. Never had the uppers fail, tend to wear through the sole first. Usually get more than a year out of them, but don’t wear them much in the summer.

Can’t go wrong with Nora’s. No liner too so can wash them out if you end up with sh!t down your wellies.
considering the lack of a traditional insole or any padding they are surprisingly comfortable and warm.
Wouldn't have anything else for farm work. I have a pair of chams for shooting and out on countryside walks with the family but wouldn’t put them near sh!t or Chems, too hot in summer too!
