Can't help with the fuel issue, but did have problem with brakes myself on a 6150.4

To bleed correctly, both sides and the trailer valve needs someone locking and releasing the nipples while the pedal is pressed. I was trying to bleed them myself with tubes over the nipples into a jar of oil, but tits would only keep they pedal solid for a short while.

The mechanic who sorted mine also connect a trailer to the brakes. I don't know if that is also necessary, but the brakes never needed touching again after he'd bled them this way

That's the way we've been bleeding them, minus the trailer, will try that though, wasn't sure if there was maybe other nipples somewhere on the tractor.

@Timbo , not sure if there's a strainer in tank but could well be.

How much oil are you pumping when you bleed? It was a good 3 litres that the mechanic took out of mine before he was happy that was the last of the air out the system.

Anyone had this problem before View attachment 954071

Dealers laptop has been on it and says there's a shortage of fuel, checked over fuel lines and found a bad end on the main feed from the tank, sorted that and the alarm stayed off for months, but has come back, thought maybe it's filters, new filters on and it's worse!.. It used to come on after a few hours working, now it comes on as soon as there's load on the engine, pulling up hill, accelerating etc, then goes off after the loads gone.

Our old 620 did the same thing, changed the relief valve on the end of the injector rail, and no difference.

Anyone had this before and found a cure?

Also brakes on both the 6160 and 6180 are needing bled regularly, is there a prosedure for doing?

Thanks in advance.
who you working for a dealer ?

its a wonder alfie has not got to the bottom of your problems , been working on them for years , good guy

Can't fault Alfie at all he certainly knows his deutz's, tbf it's only been on the laptop once and that was to read the error code and like I say I thought I'd cured it with that bad end on the feed from the tank and that was back about August time. When it popped up again I thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone else has had the same bother.

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the 5110.4 in the 5D TTV line. I am looking for something on the smaller side for weight reasons and maneuverability.

Will be using mostly front PTO with 3 meter disc and flail mowers, round bales, lifting/feeding bales and shallow cultivation tools. None of the implements will be rated above 90 HP.

Flat ground on clay. Just want something practical that a has a suspended cab with hvac and a front PTO.

Thinking about having them both restored but I may want the first one on the straw blower next winter.

Sorry they aren't the best photos didn't have time to get them out on the yard.

@milton-95 we had an issue with the injectors on Deutz engine in a Fendt.
It would throw a Fuel Rail Pressure out of range error. Initially on freezing winter mornings, when it would come under load, but once the tractor was warm, no more issues. It began to get a bit worse over a long period. It might throw the error some mornings, but once warmed up fine. It became so frequent, on road work, it would always do it at the same places on the road when under load.

Replaced fuel rail pressure sensor and relief valve, pressure regulator. No difference.

The dealer was convinced it was electrical. We were convinced it was diesel.
We attached a homemade harness to the rail pressure sensor and logged the fuel pressure sensor voltage, seeing the voltage drop by (if I remember correctly) about 8 - 10% prior to the error.

Eventually the dealer took it in and tested it on the dyno to reproduce the load, and managed to track it to a faulty injector. I think the dealer got to the injectors by the process of elimination, by adding a new high pressure pump, pressure regulator, fuel rail sensor etc (putting back the originals when the fault was still reproduced on the dyno)

Hope that helps.
