That message can also appear if you stall it, then don't give it enough time to get itself reset before starting

Actually, not IF you stall, but WHEN (had my 6150.4 remapped, but start off torque still was pish)

What age is yours? The older ones could be successfully "chipped" to for in enough extra diesel to make the exhaust look like it was burning coal for fuel

Could also simply be a failed fuel rail sensor, though they're not known for being faulty

I've asked this question before, can't remember if or was in this thread or another one.
Sounds like it's been poorly mapped if it smoking badly, we had our 6180 is mapped not long ago and is clear as a whistle.

Had this on our m620 and also get it on our 6180. Never gotten to the bottom of it on either of them, the 620 we changed the pressure relief valve on the end of the fuel rail... No difference, the 6180 is a royal pain in the arse when it does it because it derates the tractor.

Dealer had the laptop on the 6180 and took the error codes and asked deutz, basically it said the tractor wasn't getting enough fuel, filters were good.

Tried a few things, checked fitler housing was clear of and debris, there was a hose on top of the tank had a split end sorted that and still no difference, mechanic thought there maybe be a gauze on the end of the pick up pipe in the tank but would mean a tank off job and have never got around to it.

Last time it derates itself was 3 / 4 months ago now few weeks later I put in some deisel adittive / injector cleaner before a days baling and touch wood it hasn't had the error code come up since

I'd try new filters first check the hoses ontop of the fuel tank and put in some additive and give it a good day's work to get it hot and hopefully it dissapears

There is a low fuel pressure sensor, on the fuel filter. Have changed them before. Have had fuel lift pump problems before. Either not building up correct pressure or leaking from the shaft seal for the pulley. Also check for perished fuel lines, drawing air.
