Just in case anyone here still has enough enthusiasm to think about reduced tillage beet I thought I'd post a couple of pics of my last go with Kverneland culti-strip/kleine strip-tilled beet. We'll have a bit of a break and if miss them that badly we can always have another go......or not.
Any more pics of the set up

The Cultistrip was their demonstrator, we tried it on some wild bird seed plots and again the next autumn for beet, it sat around and I got tempted thinking I'd give "reduced tillage" or whatever you want to call it our best shot.
The KV points and wings were so awful my blood pressure is going up thinking about them...... we only did a little block when we tried it so didn't find out the wearing parts only did 15acres/set on some sharp land, they were over £100 /leg! I had some fun with profiles and now buy sets of half -leg, wing and point for around £45 which do 50-80 acres . Other than the kv legs the rest is absolutely brilliant, really nice to adjust, almost never blocks, even where we used it on DD wild bird cover with the stocks seeder.

You’re on sand if I recall? I don’t think we could go direct on some of our heavier stuff without a tine through first.
