@Clive says hes doing well already, how will a rise in the grain market help livestock farmers who are the butt end of all these schemes from burning straw to fermenting fodder ?

Good point there... I was talking with a Farmer from near Mach a fortnight ago and mentioned that the Auctioneers anticipated a drop in straw prices and he said that his supplier coming from the East Midlands had a power station putting a bottom in the Market, "no bargains now" he told me!

I remember straw for nothing, when burning stopped.Once there is no market for straw,or corn they start knocking on the livestock door but when livestock is struggling its every man for himself.I always thought AD plants where for waste not crops grown for them. The worlds gone mad ,I would think before long no livestock, and all crops going to energy plants and all food imported at great cost. They will have their fuel, electric and empty food cupboards as those in charge will bleed every last penny .But don’t worry the countryside will Please the vegans.Another bad day at the office ,

If a digester utilising grass and making power popped up in a stock area, offering farmers say 25 percent more for their grass than they could make feeding it to sucklers, they'd take that wouldn't they?

Mr Public appears not to want to eat meat or gluten as much, but still want to run their cars . If they can do this with a fuel that makes them feel warm and fuzzy, while they get aboard their flight to the Maldives in a jet running on tax free fuel; drinking tax- free booze while pumping out the co2 then why not?

Ethanol plant is a great home for UK wheat and the logistics, feedback, etc make most other mills look a complete joke.
