I'm not going to read the book I'll wait until it goes to film.Unbelievably this is still dragging on, in a fashion. We have 99% of the issues resolved (not pleasnantly, but almost all done), and the other side of the family are aware there is nowhere else left to go, but they are adamant 'the issue' cannot be aired. Very tough as this will go on forever for them now. We had a recent , ludicrous blow up and it's been left he keeps away from us and if he reappears with any more nonsense Pandora's lid comes off. Out of respect for the other family members' I've had to leave it.
So sorry there's not a proper ending.........yet
Was thinking bit like the Blair witch project where it all builds up to climactic…..well nothing reallyAt this rate the film is going to be one of those Facebook shorts that says watch until the end and still nothing happens.

Yours or theirs?Still ongoing.......becoming plain there's serious mental issues involved
Don't be an arsehole, nobody wants to potentially end someone's will to live... as much as I dispare at the old man's judgement, the constant disregard for kit etc, he lives for farming still, take that away from him so I can move forwards and I've likely got rid of his entire reason to wake up again.... now I'm pretty sure if that happened I'd sit and wonder if spilt grain, broken machinery, snapped gateposts and a worse bottom line was worth anything in comparison to having him here til he used his own grace or health to retire happily...Yours or theirs?
That's not an appropriate response.Don't be an arsehole, nobody wants to potentially end someone's will to live... as much as I dispare at the old man's judgement, the constant disregard for kit etc, he lives for farming still, take that away from him so I can move forwards and I've likely got rid of his entire reason to wake up again.... now I'm pretty sure if that happened I'd sit and wonder if spilt grain, broken machinery, snapped gateposts and a worse bottom line was worth anything in comparison to having him here til he used his own grace or health to retire happily...
You jest over the OPs state of mind, it's bloody draining dealing with it and none of yours or any other vultures business what the gossip is as to the family feud
Some folks do have a sense of humour bypass at times .....That's not an appropriate response.
It was merely a light hearted joke, yes of a serious topic but sometimes that's the best way to deal with it.
Just because you may be feeling down it's no excuse to take it out on others.
I think the problem lies that farming define then 100% where the farmers I know who happily retire have other hobbies that can expand and fill that space farming leaves. If you don't have anything else the only thing left is death so hence why they cling onto farming for dear life.as we dont know the relationship between the op and said person the post is about ,are we safe to assume the said person is impacting on the op,s buisiness or impacting on the potential of the op,s buisiness. As with the above post ,is it someone who cant let go and therefore prevents everyone else moveing forward .This appears to be a growing trend especially with the average age of farmers getting closer to the national retirement age. This would sugest there are a lot of 70-80 year olds running farms to pull the average up that high

The OP laughed at it so it was taken as it was intended.Don't be an arsehole, nobody wants to potentially end someone's will to live... as much as I dispare at the old man's judgement, the constant disregard for kit etc, he lives for farming still, take that away from him so I can move forwards and I've likely got rid of his entire reason to wake up again.... now I'm pretty sure if that happened I'd sit and wonder if spilt grain, broken machinery, snapped gateposts and a worse bottom line was worth anything in comparison to having him here til he used his own grace or health to retire happily...
