Fendt/Massey GSM Controller for sale

They never offered a trade in option here in Australia. Rather annoyed by that as the topcon just isn’t reliable enough

Off topic and perhaps you have already explained this before but what sort of reliability issues have you faced? We used to have two different Agco branded Topcon AGI-4 receivers and I thought lack of Galileo and Beidou support was the main issue.

Using ntrip rtk it is very unreliable from 11 am until 2 pm. Outside of these times it’s fine. Been like it for years. Also had a receiver fail completely. Started draining the tractor battery and wasn’t picking up any service

Trimble in newer tractor at least has fallback for 20 mins although very rarely use it

I want to remove the old Topcon antenna and install another used set Novatel 6(7) and VD03 module. Plug and play?
Currently, I want to use only RTK Ntrip, contour, turn assistant license will be bought later.
Do I need to buy any additional activation licenses for used units?
Our dealers only offer new. Unable to answer questions about licenses for used units.

Curious about the same exact thing myself!

The Topcon receiver on a Fendt had AGCO/Fendt specific SW in it. I don't know if the Novatel receiver would have native Novatel SW in it, perhaps it has and then RTK licencing follows Novatel licencing. The licence anyway should follow the receiver, it sort of did on the Topcon variant too (RTK licence comes with the plug-in module and transfers from one tractor to another if the receiver is moved between the tractors). Trimble on the other hand seems to use a different product for their brand independent systems?

Perhaps someone knows more about the differences between AGCO sourced Novatel and Trimble receiver compared to those sold by Novatel and Trimble?
