Actually by coincidence our rep called today and 0.12.12 ( which is a poorer spec than our normal product) is £175 up from £120 last year and usual talk about being very short on supply. Decided we will have a p/k holiday at that price.

In my opinion Kalfos is rubbish, never saw any difference after it.

My theory is that it is just too hard and doesn’t seem to leach out.

We we’re getting it from Widnes at £27 tonne delivered and I scrapped it as it was just a ph balancer.

I bought a bulker of Fibrophos last year for £100 per tonne more than what we were getting Kalfos for as there is a greater body of information regarding its efficacy.

Can anyone provide any independent studies on how effective Kalfos is?

I’ve never seen any written evidence of trials.

@hally Your rep is correct in saying there could be a shortage of supply. As a group of distributors we have done well to move all product to farms throughout the year. Now the power company that produces it will have less because (I think) they have closed one facility. As a result, every distributor has their annual tonnage cut by anything from a couple of hundred to thousands of tonnes depending on their annual historic sales .

It’s very disappointing but that’s where we are.
