Any chance of a few pictures of the engine?
Unfortunately at the moment this is all I have.

I fitted a ford D1000 series 6 cyl in a major many moons ago. I found a Roadless ? sump off the shelf that fitted and had to change the oil pump lift pipe and gauze as well. The D series sump was on the slant. The sump cost more than the engine. My poor old Morris 1000 van never quite recovered from collecting the engine either.

Was that a 360 Turbo engine?

No, long gone. Converted it back to original engine as it was worth more for export. Flywheel has a flange sticking out that bolts to crankshaft so as clutch unit pushes back enough to reach thrust bearing. Think starter ring was separate from main flywheel. Can’t remember exactly. Muir Hill experts will know. All went in the scrap bin, but turbo unit was fitted to Track Marshall crawler.

I converted a Fordson E27N a long time back now . I got a Perkins P6 from a waggon , and at the time there were a few Whitlock wire cable loaders with P6 engines about getting scrapped . I got a bell housing and a sump from a breaker's yard up near Harrogate I think . Apart from the fuel tank being 2 cylinders worth short I don't think there was much else to modify . I used it for a long time , and people used to stop me to ask about it , the 6 cylinders sounded so much better than the original 4 . It was this tractor that I squashed an Austin 7 body between the mudguards to form a cab ! Very much "Heath Robinson , but at the time "If I could make it , I could afford it " Not otherwise !
