Yes took all our own in to York till it closed didn’t fancy trailing to Newark wit it
I remember dad talking fondly of a Thames Trader going into York right up to the latter end. He worked with Henry Turnbull from Allerston in the early years, then started himself with a Volvo F7 in 1993iirc

No, I think that his name is Ian Craddock, from Hilperton, not the Westbury Kubota chap.
Ian is clever chap as well, I was at college with him 40 odd years ago.He then had a Land Rover that he fitted a Perkins 4.203 to. If my memory serves me correctly at the time he was using majors with Ford 6 cylinders fitted which allowed for 1000 PTO for foragers, as majors 540 PTO was at a low engine seed and 6 cylinders would run a lot faster. Might be wrong.
