I saw a tractor with a trailer tonight on 30mph B road with a rearward facing hazard warning led light. It is fixed at about 3ft above the road so is just about eye level to any cars following.
It was extremely bright and seemed to be total overkill. Might be ok on a fast dual carriageway.
The car driver following was obviosly struggling with it and he was half covering his eyes.
I don't think the unnecessary use of flashing lights does us any favours really.
