So the french version of defra are going to give "financial aid" to farmers who agree to not use glyphosate.

But - its only €2500 euros. Which is easy money if you are organic already! But can't see that tempting many big arable farms.

Per farm, per field, per hectare, per member of the family, per .... need that bit to make sense of the amount.

And after all your anti glypho posts ..... shame

Actually as you say, I am no fan but that is mainly regarding using it as a pre harvest desiccant.
In my opinion to replace glyphosate with a plough for what I use it for would be far more detrimental to the environment with the added bonus of further weed problems years on.

im not quite sure of the “shame”?

Fake news , it was actually Slimmers World

probably, it was in the Guardian, but slipping from the fifth to sixth largest economy isn't :(- but then all of its fake news to grab the headlines.

I hope France is looking forward to increasing it's payments into the EU, there is about to be a huge hole in the finances. Or have you just shrugged your shoulders and gone on strike?

Didn't you hear that the CAP payment will be increased by €4 billion from 2021 to 2027? I'd hate to be farming in the current world climate without that certainty... I enjoy putting food on the table.
