Pretty sure I’ve got some ewes down with frothy bloat they’ve been on a reseed for a couple of days since coming home which we had mixed a bit of clover in .Tried a stomach tube but no gas so am presuming it more likely frothy bloat .Vet has suggested some vegetable oil any other suggestions welcome .
Have removed them from reseed.

A mix of warm water, vegetable oil, and a drop (literally) of washing up liquid is what works in cattle, but I've forgotten the best ratios. I've never had to drench ewes for bloat.

Always carried a bottle of chip oil in my bag , but most likely the sudden change of diet . If you could give the access for s short time everyday then back to grass would help and put some good hay out

Lost eight over the weekend bloods didn’t show anything have pretty well tried everything .
There all twins so it getting expensive!
The grass ley contained only a handful of white clover which doesn’t normally cause bloat .
Been yarded since Friday so no access to the ley since Thursday and got two more gone down tonight
Seen enough twin lamb over the years to rule that out calcium also no effect.
poked a couple of the first ones to go down with draxin with no effect.
Im now thinking wtf is it.
one of the main symptoms is foaming from the nose.
All suggestions welcome🤔

Yep they’ve all had heptavac got three still down but no new cases for 24 hrs have turned them back out onto an old ley having plenty of beet and handful of corn to keep their energy levels up.
Vla centre results were pretty inconclusive they couldn’t identify anything apart from the ewes been over fit which I must admit they probably are.
They have now started lambing so hopefully they will get on and spit them out.
I have induced the three which are down and I’m dosing them twice a day with Ketosaid
they are looking slightly better tonight.
The joys of sheep farming!

Got the same thing going on here. [emoji30] 2 yesterday, 1 so far today. Spoke to local vet and they said there is not much chance of treatment, and just hope it blows over without losing too many.

Thought about moving them from the field, but something has to graze that field, otherwise I'll be stocked too high in other areas for lambing.
