Getting a little wet

Haven't had rain like this for over a year! Bloody stuff has woken me up as it's rattling the window and roof so bad!

Thinking I should have emptied the rain gauge before coming in earlier, had 20mm in her at 8pm, be brim full by the morning at this rate.

If it wasn't for all the barley looking like going flat I'd say it was just ideal,

There will be zero winter barley standing in the am.
V nervous about my Montana...and Gravity.
Wind is strong enough to be an issue but steady

Repeat of the end May bank holiday 2007. Flat Einstein that year. Similar weather pattern with a deep Low coming in from the east unusually, sitting directly over the wash, refusing to budge much for 48 hours and accompanied by very strong northerly winds

Sadly ours looks the same today. I know it won’t yield well now, is it because the stalk is bent and can’t take the nutrients up to the ear?

This is not good and apparently there's another full day of it, then two more of slightly less intense rain. Sigh.

From the look of the radar you may have had another 49mm by then

it must be wrong the old fashion one says we have had 20mm which feels about right, I will have to investigate I think, perhaps the cat pee'd in it
