Grain store bays fronts.

Ours are similar to @solo but are 24 ft long to drop inside the stanchions to cover 20 ft doorways and the adjoining personnel door. They are a 6 inch channel girder frame clad with ply sheets 4ft high, and bolt together to build up to 16 ft high if required.
Got some to sell if anyone is interested.
Have you got any pictures please? What sort of price are you thinking?

I know of one or two farms where they won't have L or A blocks for that very reason. The timber/diagonal girder thing is safer because you can largely man handle them into position, no concrete hanging off forks etc which is just asking for grief.
Interesting. I’m currently building a small grain shed and was thinking of just putting a walls down the middle to separate. Might be better going the girder and panel route instead

I personally would be keen to avoid the need for employees to ever be hanging large concrete objects from a loader carriage/forks on chains/straps.

Probably just end up with square bales and big straps again this year. Will tube wrap them so we get less straw contamination in stored barley.

I understand what people are saying about small tonnage.

It isn't only the extra tonnage in store that a proper front will help. Also allows us to tip cattle feed against it as same shed used as feed store.

You didn't 😎
Probably be better with a rethink of the whole shed to be honest.

Just 3 bays that hold about 300t each.

I don't like selling grain off farm at harvest. Normally pays to hold a few months.

The bays are about 60ft long. It seems a waste of shed space when you aren't using 40ft of bay cause there's a bit left at the back.

The bays are pretty much fixed concrete panels slid inside H beams.

Two internal walls from H beams and external walls are poured as there outside of shed.
