What alternatives are there to a simple light bar?
On 18m tramlines unfortunately and have my eye on a 4m tine drill and debating not putting in tramlines.

Currently have a simple Teejet system for grassland but hoping for something easier if no tramlines through the combinables.

Sprayer will be changed to 24m when the time comes but still has life left in her at mo. For that reason I don't to want settle for a, not ideal, 3m drill.
All NH TMs so no super techy computers on them.

How much do you want to spend? And what do you want it to do, still steer yourself or tractor steer itself? All the main precision farming equipment manufacturers will supply kits and screens that would fit on a NH TM to make it steer itself. Simple screen on its own showing coverage etc with an antenna and a free Egnos subscription while you steer maybe looking around £2k. Full RTK self steering with the best screen available you probably looking at £15k plus.

As little as possible really as I am perfectly happy to trundle up and down tramlines.
Was just hoping there was something affordable and better than already have to make the stopgap easier.

Want something simple I can chuck from tractor to tractor. Was hoping there was some kind of retrofit steering wheel steered that would just read off of a simple guidance system.
Those prices dont seem appealing, especially on only 200 acres

Think I might be barking up a tree that doesn't exist.

TRIMBLE 250 with easy steer you have to keep your eyes out but do come up Bought easy steer kit to fit to spraying tractor sh for just under £1300 and fitted it all my self that's what I use with a 500 screen . You have to watch for satalite light drift as running on egnos so usually run down the next run before leaving a field so it a mark to check against and the nudge to it . This is fitted in a 1986 tw15 28k hour 2wd.
To your other question i have it set up to 23.85 mtrs for putting in my own tramlines . Some that was drilled for us was done with rtk at 23.95 and i found a pre em mark and set up A B lines on that at it kept me on the tramlines so happy enough.

I’m a slightly different situation to you @Zippy768 but when I started with auto steer I had quite a bit of second hand kit. Had a word with my dealer and it’s surprising what comes in on trade in tractors that they are prepared to take off. May be worth a call.

Take a look at Fieldbee.com

Easy parallel tracking, you can use your android tablet or android smartphone as screen.

Easy to transfer from one tractor to the other tractor. No cables to change.

All you need is the Fieldbee antenna, an inscription for the Fieldbee app, a smartphone with internet connection in the field.

Optionally you can buy autosteer.

Would ez-steer with an ez-guide 250 running on egnos be accurate enough to drill with (3m combi)? I've got the ez-guide 250 already but only really use it for spraying and fert in grasses.

I use my Fieldbee for sowing with 4m sowing machine, for mowing with 2.75m mower.

Fieldbee has RTK accuracy of less than 4 cm!
