I have 2 Honda 420 atvs, one with curved plastic and the filler cap on the centre line and one with rectangular plastic and the filler on the right front mudguard. I went to use the newer one today and thinking the fuel gauge was showing less than half I thought I had better check that the stop tap was on main and not reserve so I would have warning that I was running out. I can't find the stop tap. WWhere is it please?

We run 2 honda 420’s. I can easy get half days work out of them when they start flashing low fuel level. No need to panic
I've Never run out of fuel with the flashing dash... I did a few times with the reserve tank on older Hondas as I'd forgotten to switch it back to main tank when filling up, then ran out of petrol, went to switch it to reserve and it was on reserve already 🙈

Plenty of motorcyclists over the years have ended up stranded in the arse end of nowhere for exactly the same reason.

The digital fuel gague is highly unreliable.
The bike could be over 3/4 full and show 2 bars, this has been consistent over several bikes.
It is also a lot easier to spill petrol when filling it because you dont have the manual gauge on top of the tank to let you know what level it is at.
Positioning the cap to the side wasnt a good idea as it is tucked away. It was moved there for the fuel pump on top of the tank. From a honda civic apparently.
Exelent bikes but a the fuel side isnt as nice.
A slight word of advice, dont buy the 520 unless you are going to stick with them. Its hard going back to a 420.

If I'm going gathering or just checking round it is 300 every time. I feel much happier on them.
