Daft to swap guns if you shoot well with 1 you got.Friend of mine is trying to get me to use his OU 28 bore. Says I will love it. I’ve been resisting and have probably had my best season ever with my Aya 2.
ive enjoyed shooting so much this season I can’t bring myself to use any other gun
2cd hand guns unless very special are worthless , hundreds handed into the police everymonth just to get rid of them
Would like to PM you about a shoot, LockedI’ve got one
I’m 42.
used it on saturday
My dad has a side by side 12 bore that he bought back in the 80’s, it’s been in a sleeve in the gun cabinet ever since and never had a cartridge through it.
He seems to think it ought to be worth a bob or two, I think he might be disappointed
Hearing of several shoots changing to non lead next season. I'm certainly looking to reduce my stock of lead.Depending on which end of Lincs you are I could recommend a couple of gun shops who would value it for you, but both will be full of bog standard side by sides that are worth a couple of hundred at best.
Failing that, look on Guntrader for the most similar one you can find.
There are plenty of people who don't have a Fleur de Lys proofed gun and so have stocked up on lead ammunition, but who knows where we will be in 5 years time.
If you had one of these, the pigeons might not laugh at you quite so often.Daft to swap guns if you shoot well with 1 you got.
I been trying a 28 bore, just can not get on with it. Pigeons laugh at me..
If it’s not proofed for steel which is most likely isn’t you won’t be able to give it away.
I use a Russell Hillsdon sidelock that was owned by my late Uncle until about 1976, then my other Uncle inherited it. I was given it in around 2000 and used it ever since. I had to have it restocked after an accident.Friend of mine is trying to get me to use his OU 28 bore. Says I will love it. Prehaps o/u are fashionable but I think they are a far better gun in my opinion. But I hate autos with a passion messy bleddy things flinging cartridges everywhereWhen I buy a gun because it's fashionable, I'll know it's time to go!
I've got my own Browning 325,bog standard and no custom fitted gun could fit me better if it cost a million pounds. Can't hit a cows arse from ten yards away but that's not the gun's faultThe most important thing about a gun is that it fits.
Ah, reply to the OP.I have one of those, a good quality, well made gun for the price range.
