Absolutely not,too much oil is just as bad as too little.Mate of mine ruined all the seals on one of his tractors,£4k to fix.Should I read the hydraulic oil level whilst I have a trailer tipped right up? I don't want it to run short at a critical moment, that is all.
No but it is best practice not to drive too far with trailer fully tipped, especially if you value your telephone linesShould I read the hydraulic oil level whilst I have a trailer tipped right up? I don't want it to run short at a critical moment, that is all.
Thats my dipstick, when the tractor wont tip the trailer to the top, it needs a jug in the back end.Should I read the hydraulic oil level whilst I have a trailer tipped right up? I don't want it to run short at a critical moment, that is all.
sounds like a dairy farmers solutionThats my dipstick, when the tractor wont tip the trailer to the top, it needs a jug in the back end.

Spout out table down on a dominator to check hydraulic oil ,learned not to do it other way roundDon't dip the oil tank with your unloading auger out on a Claas , your belts will get wet
Yes , it's one of them . the margin is tiny .Spout out table down on a dominator to check hydraulic oil ,learned not to do it other way round
They also sometimes say add some if you are tipping large trailers.Seen some tractors instructions say to run above the maximum mark if working on very steep ground. 51 series maxxums need it or it can cut the drive. Been there, done that
I would have said if the trailer stops going up the pump is running dry and doing harm. It's a bit if guesswork for how much to add. I'll post a photo of where I was when I found out it needed more tomorrowThey also sometimes say add some if you are tipping large trailers.
Just suckler cows so a tad more mechanical care.sounds like a dairy farmers solution
I can beat that on Dads, mine emptied the back end once while hooking up to the wrapper, the blow off valve on the wrapper used to fire the oil out sometimes when you just plumbed the pipes on to the tractor. He managed to cover everything in oil around the farm with oil shooting out at 150 L a min. The best bit, he rang me up to say the tractor was starting to make some funny noises!!! I knew straight away what he had done. Back end totally drained of oil, i would,t have minded so much if the tractor had not long been serviced with nice new oil. FFSDidn’t know that my dad understood the internet and was on this forum………
