JD 30 series ECU repair

I have a JD 7530 with a faulty ECU as diagnosed by my local dealer after much investigation.
I agree with their diagnosis but they are quoting approx £1000 for a replacement. The fitter mentioned that they used to send them off somewhere to be repaired for a few hundred quid but they can’t seem to locate any firms to do it now.

So my question is does anyone know anywhere that could repair a faulty 30 series ECU before I break open the piggy bank and splash the cash?

Many thanks in advance!

Now Then..
Is this the Engine Control Unit we're talking about??
I thought this company in France used to do them but I can't find it on there... https://www.breizelec.fr/en/tractors-tractors-7030-series-xsl-279_284_528_538.html.
Other than that, John Deere do a reman unit. You'll need the software payload changing over. A new or reman unit won't work straight out of the box..
Out of curiosity,,,,, what's your problem??

Thanks guys - I had forgotten about David King, he did a forklift joystick for me years ago and was very good so will give him a ring.

@Tractortech yes engine control unit. I think the dealer mentioned that French company but they didn’t have any joy when they tried them.
So they are suggesting a reman unit at about £1k + fitting. The problem was it would throw up loads of error codes after about 20mins of work and then cut the engine out completely. Then wouldn’t start until it had cooled down for a bit. We changed all the terminators but it still happened so after lots of trial and error he put on a test ECU and it was fine. So it is def the ECU but I’d prefer to repair the old one if possible to save a few quid as have spent a fair bit on the tractor recently.

The only consolation is that apparently it is going up in value rather than down!!

Where do you think JD reman they bits - Brezelec off course. They have a deal with them. My experience with them is 50/50. I was repair controllers after they job, where I was have to fix they job first and then the reason why the controller was send to France in first place. Wonder how much more they charge after BREXIT.
Some of the ECU just not worth the hassle or they are so problematic that they will go wrong again and JD use one like that on they machines.
Put some photos of the ECU here.

A quick update for the record in case anyone else has the same issue in the future...
David King will do ECU repairs but not for this particular problem as they are not confident enough that they will resolve it. Apparently they need to do more R&D on it before doing it commercially. Refreshingly honest.
But means that the JD reman replacement is my only real option now...

I had a 6430 Premium do similar when warm once but that was in warranty at the time, I've had a 6330 Premium do similar but that could do it when cold.
I also had a 6430 Premium last year where oil had tracked along the wiring from the injectors all the way to the ECU. That only came to light when the customer said it wouldn't start when hot but OK cold. That needed an ECU and 2 wiring harnesses!!
