Well its up to u but id be wantin a powerquad. I drove his along side a spfh and the gearchanges are too delayed. Drove it for a few hours and told him "i wanted back into the 6125m cause that thing is just a heap" which he didnt like me sayin but its true. Also they dont have tls its more like a scissor type suspension with lots of grease nipples and places to potentially wear out and doesnt even nearly provide the ride quality that tls does

Have power quad on our other 2 deere. We used to run cnh with power shift. I'm not a fan of power quad. Pay a lot of money for deere for then to still fit 50 year old technology as standard. Brother likes it though.

We've done a set nearly on our 155 after 3 n half. Prefer a machine that's well used rather than been sat doing nothing.
I don,t get what your saying? the tractor has done 2 k hours and has new tyres, makes no difference if those 2k hours are clocked in a 1 year or 5. My point is should tyres be warn out that quickly, my tractor has just under 2 k hours clocked and the tyres are 75%.

Depends how cheap the tyres are and how much road work it does. Also soil type. Farm I worked on in Wiltshire would do a set of tyres every 2000 hours due to loads of flint. Could do a set of Plough shares in a day in some fields.

I have a 5100M and looked at a 5115R (second hand), both with loader. As Davydiesel says a 6M series may be better. I have a 5 series as need a compact tractor. Anyhoo mentioned the 5115R series to my neighbour and his comment was when you step up to R you can at least double your repair bills. I did a search on here and else where and the 5xxxR series aren’t that popular. Maybe why there seems to be a few knocking about just out of warranty.

So what about the 6125R, looking at a 2nd hand one, done 8k hours, duties would be wrapping, feeder, hedge cutting, has a Vario box, very tidy. Any good?

Im no expert. I will say and there are fellas on here far more knowledgeable. Should be good for what you want to do. Hopefully it’s been serviced all its life in a timely manor. I‘ve only experience of the power quad box.

My neighbour was in a mood when I spoke to him having had to spend money on his R (spending money - it‘s a Yorkshire thing!) Can’t remember which one it is but bigger than the one you’re looking at. It was powerharrowing opposite us when the fan belt snapped. Evidently front linkage had to come off etc. Was quite expensive repair for a fan be
